Open Enrollment 2010-2011

Open Enrollment is Pasadena Unified School District’s voluntary school of choice program that provides resident students with an opportunity to attend schools outside of their immediate neighborhoods. This website contains information to guide you through the open enrollment process.
 
The 2010-2011 PUSD Parents' Guide to Schools is now available in print and online (y aquí en español).

Any questions you may have or information you need regarding Pasadena Unified School District's Open Enrollment process can also be accessed at the Welcome Center, PUSD's parent and community resource center.
 
The Welcome Center is located at 351 South Hudson Ave., Pasadena, Room 121 and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Late Application Period for Open Enrollment 2010-2011 is April 7-30. Applications are available on a first come, first served basis, at the Welcome Center. Projected openings for late applications are now available online.

El periodo para presentar solicitudes tardías del proceso de Inscripción Abierta para el año escolar 2010-2011 es del 7 al 30 de abril del presente. Las solicitudes están disponibles en el Centro de Bienvenida del Distrito, y se distribuyen en el orden en que estas se vayan requiriendo. Los lugares disponibles para este tipo de solicitud estan ya disponibles.

Results of Open Enrollment Lottery

Notification letters are mailed to all families who participate in the first application phase of Open Enrollment. Letters will be posted beginning March 5, 2010.

Las cartas de notificación se envían por correo a todas las familias que participan en la primera etapa de la solicitud de Inscripción Abierta. Las cartas se enviarán a partir del viernes 5 de marzo de 2010.

2010-2011 Dual Language Immersion Program

Priority Enrollment for Pasadena Unified School District’s Dual Language Immersion Program ended December 11, 2009.

The opportunity to apply again for any available openings will take place when 2010-2011 Open Enrollment begins on January 11, 2010.

Interested families may submit an application at that time.

The District is presently recruiting students whose dominant language is Spanish or Mandarin Chinese.

February 4, 2010	Applications due - OE Closes All mailed applications must be postmarked by February 4, 2010, submitted online by 5:00 p.m. or delivered to the Office of Enrollment and Permits by 5:00 p.m.
March 5, 2010	Notification letters mailed to families
March 15, 2010	Families encouraged to enroll in neighborhood school no later than this day
March 17-31, 2010	Registration for Open Enrollment students
April 7-30, 2010	Late applications accepted (restrictions apply)

May 10, 2010	Inter-district transfer requests to enter or exit PUSD accepted
